Shuriken Duel counts, anonymously, how the game is used: when a visit starts and ends, which screen is open, duels started and finished with their result, errors, and installs. With each visit we note the kind of device (phone, tablet or computer), the operating system, the browser, a screen width range, the language, the country, guessed from the time zone your device is set to, and a rough count of the duels already played on this device (none, 1 to 4, 5 to 19, or 20 and more), read from the game's own counter, how many seconds the page took to be ready, and whether the visit began with a tap or by staying a few seconds. The first time, we also count how far the guided first duel gets. We also note where a visit came from, only as a group such as a search engine, a social network, a shared link or a direct visit, never the full address. Your internet address is never stored. If you rate the game, your shuriken, the buttons you pick and your optional comment are stored with the game version, device type and how far you have come, without any name or number that points to you. Only if you tick "Others may see my comment" can your comment be chosen to appear in the game for other players, word for word and without a name.
Each visit gets a random number that only exists while the game is open. Nothing is saved on your device for statistics, so visits cannot be linked to you or to each other. Details are deleted after 90 days; after that only daily totals remain. Statistics are not shared with anyone else.
When the maker has switched on the chat, you can write to him. Your messages are stored with your device type and language, without any name or address, and are linked only by a random number that lives while the game is open. They are translated by DeepL (Germany) so the maker can read and answer them, and they are deleted 30 days after the last message.
In an online duel with a friend, the moves go through a small server at Cloudflare in the EU. It keeps only the board and the clock while the duel lasts and forgets the duel when it ends. A name you type for the invite travels only in your link and in that duel. If you tap Send a report during an online duel, the last moves and connection events of that duel are sent without your name and deleted after 7 days. Until then they stay only on your device, for 30 minutes.
In the alley you get a warrior name and a hidden level. Both are kept only on your device: the name, and a sealed ticket with your level and record that the alley's server signs after each duel, bound to a key that never leaves your browser. The server keeps a visit's level for at most three hours and never anything that names you.
You can switch statistics off above at any time; the game then remembers only that choice.
